An interesting and informative article about being clean and sober yet walking into an emotional place called hopelessness. It happens more than you may think and addicts are five times more likely to commit suicide. I personally have heard and know several in my AA community who have done just that.

Good afternoon Recovery Farmhouse,
I hope you’re staying safe and well. My name is Devin Hinkel and I wanted to thank you for the work you do for the mental health community. Domestic violence and substance abuse are a tragically common pairing. Studies have found that most domestic violence incidents in some way involve substance abuse, especially alcohol. My mission is to advocate addiction awareness with RehabSpot.com, a free web guide about substance abuse, addiction, and recovery. We focus on providing essential information surrounding substance abuse and support for families and communities struggling with these issues.
I was reaching out to ask if you could add RehabSpot.com/treatment/co-occurring-disorders/domestic-violence to your links page https://www.recoveryfarmhouse.com/resource-page/. Like your organization, our website was founded on a commitment to help people in need, and I believe the right resources can make all the difference in someone’s life. Would you be willing to partner with us in our shared effort of preventing domestic violence and addiction by adding our link? By doing so you will help many people get the support they need. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or feedback for me!
I look forward to hearing from you,
Devin Hinkel
